Women in Finsure was officially launched at a sold-out event this month at the Soul Bar in Auckland, hosted by Finsure’s NZ Country Manager Jenny Campbell.
The event was attended by Finsure’s Head of Business Innovation, Fatima Dib, and Finsure’s Northern Region Head of Sales and Women in Finsure Chair, Noushig Megerditchian, who was a driving force behind the Women in Finsure platform when it was established in Australia six years ago.
Finsure NZ country manager Jenny Campbell said the launch of Women in Finsure in New Zealand was a first for the country’s adviser sector.
“I am very excited to be establishing a New Zealand branch of the Women in Finsure program,” she said.
“Ensuring equality and inclusivity in the advising industry is not only a matter of fairness but also a strategic imperative for any business that wants to thrive, particularly with women taking a greater role in the financial services sector.
“A diverse workforce can lead to better decision-making, greater innovation, and an enhanced ability to serve a diverse client base. It’s no secret that our industry is male dominated. But by making a concerted effort, we can start to rebalance the inequity and better reflect modern society.”
In Australia, Women in Finsure has helped increase recruitment of female advisers within Finsure’s network significantly, with the aim of a 50/50 split of women and men.
“Women in Finsure NZ is committed to educating and supporting those in our network who are looking to develop both personally and professionally,” Campbell said.
“Whether you’re a single operator who feels like they’re missing a sense of connection and support, or you want to help the women in your office, Women in Finsure offers support for advisers and their businesses.”
The NZ branch of Women in Finsure is planning a retreat to be held in the iconic Australian lifestyle destination of Byron Bay in August.
