Kiwibank lockdown rate hikes

State-backed Kiwibank has followed the Australian-owned big four with lockdown rate hikes.

The bank's one year special goes up to 2.95% while its two year special rises to 3.15%, effective this morning.

Kiwibank's standard one year rate will go to 3.15%, and its two year standard rate jumps to 4%.

Kiwibank's one year rate is now more expensive than all of the big four. ANZ leads with the best big bank pricing at 2.6%.
