Former head of Vega mortgages moves to adviser group.

Financial advisory firm Threefold has appointed Mike Allen as its chief operating officer.

Allen has more than 20 years' of experience in the financial services sector, including roles at ANZ, ING, Partners Life, and NZFSG. He brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership expertise to the team. His background in sales, compliance, business development, and people management positions him perfectly to help drive Threefold’s mission to become New Zealand’s premium financial advisory company.

Allen was previously head of mortgages and protect at Vega, where he grew the adviser team, established key strategic partnerships, and consistently delivered exceptional revenue growth.

In his new role Allen will work closely with Threefold chief executive Jonathan Michell. He will focus on supporting and expanding the firm’s adviser teams, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer care.

Mike’s appointment reflects Threefold’s commitment to strengthening its position as a trusted leader in financial advice, ensuring the firm is well-equipped to navigate the evolving mortgage, insurance, and KiwiSaver landscape.
