Life companies offer support to Christchurch

Life insurance companies have reached out to advisers and offered dedicated support after the terrorist attack in Christchurch. Here's some of their messages.

AIA/Sovereign

AIA/Sovereign has announced it has set up dedicated insurance support services for customers affected by last Friday’s devastating shooting tragedy in Christchurch.

Customers affected by this tragic event are being provided with a dedicated customer care service.

AIA/Sovereign CEO, Nick Stanhope said: “It’s been a difficult few days for New Zealand and for all New Zealanders.  Our company prides itself in being there when it really matters.  This time matters.”

“If any of our customers, their family or loved ones have been affected by this tragedy, we ask that they reach out.  We have staff on stand-by to help.”

AIA/Sovereign has set up a dedicated customer care team to provide timely, important life and health insurance assistance to affected customers.

Chief Customer Officer, Sharron-Moana Botica said: “The effects of Friday’s tragic event in Christchurch will continue for some time.  We have started this service with the hope that we can do what we can for our customers and their families in the immediate term.  We are here to help.”

Partners Life

Myself and my Partners Life team are heartbroken for the people of Christchurch, and are very relieved that the majority of Christchurch advisers we have managed to contact over the weekend, and their staff, are safe. We are holding our breaths in the hope that all of the advisers we have yet to make contact with are also safe.

We understand that you also might have family, friends, staff and clients who have been directly affected by Friday's tragedy and we are so sorry.

If so, please get in touch with us when you can to let us know what we can do to support you through these dark days. Please let us help you.

Our thoughts are also with any of your clients, whom might also be impacted, either through themselves or their loved ones being directly harmed, or indirectly through experiencing such horror in their community.

We know that the impacts of such a terrible act will be felt for a long time to come and we are committed to supporting you and your clients throughout the healing process.

As you become aware of any clients who have been affected, please let us know so we can work out with you how we can best support them, be that through a fast track claims process, grief or trauma counselling, or through premium holidays, for example.

You are not alone. You have the love and support of every single Partners Life team member and we will walk beside you and your clients, being there whenever you need to lean on us over the days, weeks and months ahead.

Fidelity Life
